-December 2010 and March 2011: WHAT'S THE TIME at The Fridge
(Time Out magazine editor's pick and a feature on Dubai One TV show: Out and About)

Sarah Dufayard is half French half Vietnamese. Her interest for the arts started at an early age when she was a student of Le Conservatoire de Lyon where she learnt the piano and dance. She studied acting techniques in Paris at Acting International and then went on to direct and produced Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf by Edward Albee as part of the University of Manchester in-fringe drama festival. In London, she enjoyed art and drama more as a spectator, always coming out of a show or exhibition with a feeling that she should be part of it. The Desert Monologues at DUCTAC was a great workshop to get her back into it and she’s a member of DRAG, an amateur group which was born from that workshop.  STAR TOO has enthused her to be even more creative and to pursue her dream; becoming a successful actress and director.

Defne Gursoy was born in 1981 to a small family in the city of Istanbul. She lived in Istanbul, London, and in Dubai for the last 7 years. Acting is a passion she has looked to fulfill all her life but never had the chance until 2009 when she finally felt it was the right time for her fervor to materialize. She attended Drama Dubai workshops and performed in Desert Monologues/Casket Comedy as Halisca. At the same time, she met fantastic amateur actors and actresses like herself.  Together they created an acting group called DRAG and performed in a self organized show of two plays.

Mustafa Elmonofy: “If you want more, become MORE” quoting Jim Rohn, is his motto in life. This citation has served him as motivation to sign up in drama workshops, improvisation workshops, and script analysis. With over 11 TV commercials, 2 internet advertisements, 1 short film and 3 plays, Elmonofy’s work can be viewed on: http://www.youtube.com/MustafaElmonofy

Assem Kroma. The Saudi born, tri-lingual (English, Italian and Arabic) Student Affairs Coordinator is one of 4 children from his father Mohammad Anwar and mother Nehal Al Sairawan, who was an accomplished artist herself and Assem's creative inspiration. The young Syrian native plunged into performing arts with a vengeance over the last few years portraying Rocky Balboa, Colonel Jessep, and Jeremy Grey.

Subah Shahid.
Born in Pakistan to a dramatically-inclined family, acting is in her blood. Earning the best scores in Drama at school, television, Indian movie stars and English daytime soap celebrities fueled her passion to perform in upper grade school plays. In November 26, 2009, she performed for audiences at DUCTAC in the Desert Monologues. This was a marking face to face experience, embodying an anguished widow in communion with the ghost of her dead husband. Proud to be an active member of DRAG theatre productions, she now works with a close knit group of friends who took up the challenging role of bringing together entertainment to the Dubai scene through theater, documentary, short films, and more to come.

Victoria Wilson
. Better known as Vicky, she was raised in Tunbridge Wells just outside London. At the age of 5 her mother enrolled her in acting class and took LAMDA and Guildhall examinations annually throughout her education obtaining excellent results.  She attended dancing, singing, recorder and piano class also following annual exams with exceptional margins.  Appearing in dozens of plays including The Railway Children, My Fair Lady, Alice in Wonderland, and A Mid-Summer Night’s Dream, she received numerous awards at speech and drama festivals.

Flora Diaz Hurtado. In Spain, she studied with establishments such as those of Joaquin Perles, Julio Fraga, Distrito 20 Theatre Group and La Barraca Drama School. Flora trained in Flamenco at El Horno Dance School in Madrid as well as classical ballet at Spazio Danza School in Italy. Her movie credits count SMOKED MIRROR directed by Dhalia Ali and PANDORA directed by Benjamin Knoebl. A graduate of the Desert Monologues directed by Kemsley Dickinson where she portrayed SISTER IGNATIUS, Flora’s theatrical experience spans from Euripides to Cervantes. Also appearing in an award-winning commercial at the San Sebastian Advertising Festival in 2001, Flora features in the Spanish Television ad GOLPES; a government campaign against domestic violence

Tareq Ghosheh. A technologist from Jerusalem, he lives his passion for drama and performing arts.

Jaakko Virtanen. From Finland, he has performed with acclaimed groups in the community and continues to offer lyrical compositions with strength and wisdom.
